Messy Church @ The Churches Together Family Fun Day.

The Churches Together Free Family Fun Day was a great success once again. The weather forecasters were proved wrong as the sunshine came for the whole event and Macs and umbrellas were exchanged for sun hats and sun cream.

This year Messy Church led worship with the help of the Formby Puppet Power!

A few hundred people old and young came to sing, to listen and watch the puppets, to listen to Kath explain to puppet Bethany how we know God loves us, and to pray as Lesley used her enormous prayer bracelet and we did Messy Grace together. The Messy Crafts took place in the Crafts area where children could make their own prayer bracelets, bags and puppets and balloon animals although the Messy Team from the Methodist, St Luke’s and Holy Trinity Churches made hundred’s of balloon dogs for little ones!

Waitrose once again supplied all the burgers and sausages for St Luke’s to barbeque, Holy Trinity Tea Tent served over 2000 drinks and a great day was had by all as all the Formby churches supplied a great range of activities for families.

It was a really blessed day!
